The Office of International Affairs and ISSS will be holding an information session on Tuesday, February 7th at 4:00 P.M. on the various Executive Orders signed last week by President Trump. This session is an opportunity to ask questions of Andrew Greenfield and Daniel Williamson of Fragomen, Del Rey, Bersen & Loewy LLP, global Immigration Attorneys from the Washington D.C. office.

Dr. Loh has issued a statement in response to the the executive order announced on Jan. 27. If you have not already done so, please take a moment to read his statement.

We understand that our community may be receiving information from many different sources: friends, social media, the news and possibly other immigration professionals. We urge you to use UMD's International Students and Scholar Services (ISSS) as your primary source of information. ISSS is monitoring the situation closely and is providing updates on the ISSS website.  ISSS is very careful about vetting the sources of information and will only provide trusted sources to the campus community.

Students and scholars from the affected countries and all department faculty and staff are invited to attend the meeting and will be able to ask questions
